Born in Brooklyn and raised in The Bronx, Chef Chin is a true New Yorker with Southern soul. His culinary journey began on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he was introduced to the deep-rooted traditions of Southern seafood and Lowcountry flavor. That experience shaped his unique cooking style — a bold blend of New York street grit and Southern hospitality.

Flavas Seafood is a family-run business built on love, hustle, and handcrafted flavor. At the heart of it all is Chef Chin’s wife, Raynell Petway — also known as Chef Q — the creator of Flavas' soon-to-be world-famous signature garlic butter sauce. This rich, buttery blend transforms every dish and keeps customers coming back week after week. Together, they’ve built more than a business — they’ve created a flavorful movement.

From Beaufort, South Carolina, to curbside pop-ups in Brooklyn, and on to packed festival appearances, Flavas Seafood brings people together through unforgettable dishes infused with love and passion in every bite. Each order is made fresh, served hot, and seasoned with intention.
